A vehicle rollover sensing device and a method according to the present invention enables an accurate judgment of the possibilities of a trip rollover by comparing the lateral speed of a vehicle with a critical range between a predetermined first vehicle speed critical value and a second vehicle speed critical value lower than the first vehicle speed critical value, and maintaining a flag fulfilling the lateral speed of the vehicle even when the lateral speed of the vehicle increases and then decreases due to the trip rollover of the vehicle. |
