The present invention relates to a flexible display apparatus which has an easy-to-adjust image display surface, improved portability, and an increased or maximized commercial value. The flexible display apparatus comprises the following components: a fixing body fixated to a predetermined region of a flexible panel; the flexible panel includes a portion fixated on the fixing body and the other portion freely bent; a protective cover assembly which changes direction of the other portion of the flexible panel not fixated on the fixing body; contains and protects the other portion inside; and adjusts a tension applied to the flexible panel. The protective cover assembly is perturbation-moved while supported by the fixing body. An expansion driving device couples the fixing body with the protective cover assembly and enables an automatic perturbation-movement of the protective cover assembly using a scissors mechanism. The protective cover includes a roller and a first motor which are used to move and change the direction of the flexible panel, which is introduced into the protective cover. A friction protection member is applied inside the protective cover to protect the flexible panel. A distance sensor is used to detect a position of the protective cover. The expansion driving device includes a variable frame, which is driven by a second motor, and a conveyor screw, which delivers a driving force from the second motor to the variable frame according to a screw principle. |
