摘要 The present invention relates to a method and system for controlling a driving mode change of a hybrid electric vehicle, capable of preventing shock caused by the release of an engine clutch upon the change of a driving mode of a hybrid electric vehicle accompanied with the release of the engine clutch. According to the present invention, a method for controlling a driving mode change of a hybrid electric vehicle having an engine clutch controlling the power connection between an engine and a driving motor and a transmission clutch connecting the driving motor and an input shaft of a transmission includes the steps: sensing a driving mode change of the hybrid electric vehicle; determining whether the driving mode change requests the engine clutch to be changed from a lock up state into an open state; and if the driving mode change requests the engine clutch to be changed into the open state, controlling slip of the transmission clutch to prevent the transmission torque generated upon the opening of the engine clutch from being transmitted to a driving shaft connected to the transmission.
