The present invention relates to a terminal device having function of managing communication data usage amount and control method thereof and includes a service device transmitting communication data for service provision to an application installed in a terminal device; and a terminal device storing the application and a communication data reference amount of the application, wherein the terminal device senses a communication usage amount received from the service device with the execution of the application, and ends the application when it is determined that the communication data usage amount is equal to greater than the communication data reference amount. As such, since a user directly sets up a communication data reference amount for each application installed in the terminal device and when an application is used and the communication data reference amount set by the user is exceeded, that application is forcibly ended, it is possible to prevent a user from excessively using data carelessly. |
