The present invention relates to an area-based access authority management method in a word processor program. The method includes a user information collecting step (S1); a user access authority identifying step (S2); a step (S3) of determining a correction authority of another user; a read-dedicated processing step (S4); a user access authority setting step (S5); and a work content reflecting step (S6). Business productivity can be improved and an effective document management capacity can be achieved by designating a specific range in a document used by a plurality of users and allowing a user to selectively access and correct only the work content in the range to provide a cooperation interface to various users more conveniently and effectively. Furthermore, an environment can be provided to enable a plurality of users to cooperate with each other easily and conveniently by setting authorities to a file on which work is performed based on areas, and allowing various users to work in different areas simultaneously. In addition, a document composing program developing business can enlarge its market share and improve satisfaction of customers through a user-based authority setting function which has been further improved as compared with an existing method. Furthermore, the present invention can be utilized in a document composing program more usefully today as cooperation becomes more important and essential. Because cooperation is expected to become more necessary, the present invention can be applied to a wider application range and its ripple effect can become greater.
