A streaming system according to the present invention includes a mobile terminal transmitting, to a streaming service device, a streaming service request message or streaming service environment information message including information on the type and state of a wireless data network, wherein the mobile terminal receives streaming data from the streaming service device; and the streaming service device using the type and state of the wireless data network used by the mobile terminal to set up the initial buffering size of streaming data on the mobile terminal and transmit the streaming data to the mobile terminal, wherein the streaming service device resets a streaming compression rate or a buffering size according to the information on the type and state of the wireless data network included in the streaming service environment information message transmitted after the start of a streaming service, and transmits the streaming data to the mobile terminal according to a reset streaming compression rate or buffering size, wherein the initial buffering size or the reset buffering size is set up by the streaming service device by using the type and state of the wireless data network according to the moving route of the mobile terminal. The present invention may provide, a mobile terminal moving in various wireless data network service environments, with a seamless streaming service for multimedia content in consideration of a wireless data network environment according the a moving route. |
