<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to prevent a temperature of a fixing apparatus from exceeding a predetermined temperature after the end of printing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming part (1) for forming a toner image on a recording medium; a fixing apparatus (20) which heats the recording medium with the toner image formed thereon by use of a heating member (21) to fix it; a fan (66) for cooling at least the heating member; and a control part (60) which actuates the fan for a predetermined time, after the image forming part completes image forming operation, when image forming time is less than a first formation time, and actuates the fan and an idling drive for rotating the heating member without heating it when the image forming time is equal to or more than the first formation time.</p> |
