Provided are a liquid crystal display panel and a display device applying same. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a first substrate (110), a second substrate (120), and a liquid crystal layer (130). The liquid crystal layer (130) is formed between the first substrate (110) and the second substrate (120). The second substrate (120) comprises pixels (124), where each pixel (124) comprises a first sub-pixel area (101) and a second sub-pixel area (102). When the pixels (124) are displaying an image, the voltage difference between a first voltage of the first sub-pixel areas (101) and a second voltage of the second sub-pixel areas (102) is inversely proportional to the grayscale of the image that is being displayed by the pixels (124), where the first voltage is greater than the second voltage. The liquid crystal display panel is capable of improving on the problem of viewing angle for the pixels.
