<p>A solar cell (10) includes: a photoelectric conversion element that is formed by planarly disposing, on an n-type single crystal Si substrate (12), an n layer (22) that is an n-type amorphous semiconductor layer, and a p layer (28) that is a p-type amorphous semiconductor layer; a transparent conductive film layer (30) that is formed on the n layer (22) and the p layer (28); and an electrode layer (36) formed on the transparent conductive film layer (30).
