The planar sheet metal component has a main portion that is provided with a first side surface (102) and an opposite second side surface (104). The first side surface is provided with an enlarged surface structure which is formed by stamping process. The surface structure is provided with a side surface portion and a stamping portion (112). The stamping portion is provided with a wall section and a bottom section. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing planar sheet metal component; (2) a pendulum mass; and (3) a torsional vibration damper.
