The vehicle (10) has a towing machine (14), a multi-axis trailer (16), and a support (18) for an elongated object i.e. rotor blade, supported on the trailer and the machine over a gooseneck (22). The machine and the support are rotated with respect to each other around a vertical axis of the vehicle. A slewing ring is rotatably connected with the support and rotated around the vertical axis of the vehicle with respect to a trailer axle. The trailer comprises rigid axles (42, 44) and a steering axle (40), and the support is moved in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the trailer.
