The present invention relates to an artificial hair glue based on a mussel adhesive protein and a preparation method thereof. The mussel adhesive protein refers to: a protein selected from a group consisting of protein formed of an amino acid sequence in sequence number 1, protein formed of an amino acid sequence in sequence number 4, protein formed of an amino acid sequence in sequence number 5, protein formed of an amino acid sequence in sequence number 6, protein formed of an amino acid sequence in sequence number 7, and protein formed of an amino acid sequence in sequence number 8; a fusion protein where two or more kinds of proteins among the said proteins are connected; or a protein obtained by consecutively connecting the protein formed of an amino acid sequence in sequence number 2 for 1-12 times.
