The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More particularly, to a method and a device in a method for performing a process of discovering neighbors for WiFi P2P communication which include: a step of confirming if a participation-capable WFD P2P group exists or not in a first WFD P2P device; and a step that the first WFD P2P device performs operation for participating to the participation-capable WFD P2P group if the partition-capable WFD P2P group exists; and a step that the first WFD P2P device performs operation for generating a new WFD P2P group or advances into a sleep mode if there is no participation-capable WFD P2P group. The operation for participating into the participation-capable WFD P2P group comprises: a step of receiving neighbor list information for (a) second WFD P2P device(s) within the WFD P2P group from a specific WFD P2P device which manages the WFD P2P group; and a step of periodically transmitting neighbor advertisement information for the first WFD P2P device after receiving the neighbor list.
