PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mold for treads, in which a tread base part can be torn off smoothly together with a land part without hindrance and to provide a method for producing the tread.SOLUTION: The metal mold for treads is constituted so that a plurality of deep concave parts 13 are formed, each of which parts is deeper than the bottom face of a shallow concave part 12 corresponding to the tread base part 2 of the tread 1 and corresponds to the land part 3. A recessed part 15 for forming a projection piece is formed by chipping a part of a short frame side part 11a, which is at least one of the frame parts 11 arranged around the shallow concave parts 12 in the belt-shaped longitudinal direction thereof, in a rectangular shape so that at least one side of the formed recessed part is made continuous to the shallow concave part 12. The recessed part 15 for forming the projection piece has the depth deeper than that of the shallow concave part 12 and both lateral ends of one side of the recessed part 15 for forming a projection piece to be made continuous to the shallow concave part 12 are positioned in an outermost-side deep recessed part 13s in the width direction. The method for producing the tread by using the metal mold for treads is also provided. |
