PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross member capable of simply and easily adjusting a falling load of an installing portion.SOLUTION: A suspension cross member 10 includes: a cross member body portion 14 extended in a vehicle width direction; and a cross member installing portion 16 with a hollow structure provided on the body portion 14 and coupled to a side member 12. Furthermore, the suspension cross member 10 is equipped with an installing bolt 48 for fastening the installing portion 16 to the side member 12; a cylinder body 56 provided in the installing portion 16; and a reinforcing plate 52 having a cylinder body hole 54 through which the cylinder body 56 penetrates, installed in the installing portion 16 while the cylinder body 56 penetrates through the cylinder body hole 54, and broken by a predetermined or more load. By adjusting a number of the reinforcing plate 52 to be installed, a falling load of the installing portion 16 can be adjusted. |
