<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device capable of restraining a vane rotor from biting into a housing.SOLUTION: A valve timing adjusting device 10 comprises stopper means 40 including stopper pins 41 and stopper faces 45, 46. The stopper pins 41 penetrate through a boss part of a vane rotor 30 in an axial direction, and project on both axial sides from the boss part of the vane rotor 30. The stopper faces 45, 46 are formed on a sprocket 11, and can contact one end of the stopper pin 41 in a circumferential direction. The stopper pins 41 come into contact with the stopper faces 45, 46, and therefore, the stopper means 40 limits relative rotation of the vane rotor 30 at a most-advance angle position and a most-delay angle position. The stopper pins 41 are positioned on a radial inner side than a vane part of the vane rotor 30, and therefore, the relative rotation of the vane rotor 30 is limited, a shock force applied to the vane rotor 30 becomes small.</p> |
