<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer equipped with a liquid supply mechanism which has a simple configuration and is capable of modifying the pressure for pumping a cleaning solution and a method of supplying a liquid.SOLUTION: A liquid supply mechanism 20 supplying a cleaning solution to cleaning heads 43 comprises an air supply pipe 53 supplying compressed air from an air supply source 51 to a cleaning solution tank 73, a supply pipe 55 supplying the cleaning solution from the cleaning solution tank 73 to manifold 74 and a supply pipe 56 branched from the manifold 74 and supplying the cleaning solution to each cleaning head 43. The cleaning solution tank 73 has an air-tight structure and is connected to the air supply pipe 53. In the air supply pipe 53, three discharge tubes 54 communicating with the atmosphere are arranged in a branched form to discharge the compressed air out of the printer so as to adjust the pressure for pumping the cleaning solution. In each of the discharge tubes 54, flow rate adjustment valves 71a, 71b and 71c and opening/closing valves 72a, 72b and 72c are interposed respectively.</p> |
