<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device stably placing a shelf plate on a shelf plate receiving implement and supporting it.SOLUTION: A support device comprises: an elongated sheet-shaped strut body 5 formed with a locking hole in which a narrow locking part 7 and an insertion part 8 wider than the locking part 7 are communicated with each other in a state that the insertion part 8 is positioned above the locking part 7 such that the locking hole penetrates the front and the rear of the strut body 5; and a columnar shelf plate receiving implement 6 including a swell part 10 inserted in the insertion part 8 of the strut body 5, a locking groove locked to the lower end edge of the locking part 7, and a support part placing the lower face of a shelf plate on the upper face and supporting the shelf plate.
