Disclosed is a vehicle assistance device (10) comprising a control device (100) for generating data, which provide information with respect to the temporal occurrence of an event along a travel route of a vehicle, and a display device (110) for displaying a representation of the travel route of the vehicle (1) between a starting point and a destination point of the travel route. The control device (100) controls the display device (110) using the data. The data are generated such that the information which characterises the occurrence of an event is displayed on the display device (110) along the representation of the travel route on the basis of the time point of the beginning of the event.
