The process comprises immersing objects in a pretreatment bath (1) containing a medium for a predetermined treatment time, adhering articles with a flushing medium, and supplying a flow of the pretreatment medium from the bath to a separation unit (2) for separating a filtrate (12) from a concentrate (11) of the pre-treatment medium. The filtrate is used as the flushing medium. The separation step is carried out by membrane filtration, ultrafiltration or nanofiltration, reverse osmosis or electrodialysis method. The adhering step is carried out for 0-90 seconds. The process further comprises washing the articles, rinsing the articles, subjecting the articles to deionized water, and transferring the objects to processing steps. The processing step includes a cathodic dip coating step, special surface treatments comprising seam sealing, taping and sprayable acoustic matting, topcoating step and/or finishing steps with or without cavity protection. The articles include a metallic material or a metal surface. |
