The locking element (1) has a housing (2), in which a bolt (3) is movably arranged axially between retracted and extended axial positions (4,6), where a spring (7) is provided, through which the bolt is spring-loaded relative to the housing towards the extended axial position. A locking unit is provided, with which the bolt is locked in a different axial position (5) as the extended axial position. The locking is releasable by mechanical impingement of a portion (10) of the bolt protruding from the housing.
