Various communication systems may benefit from communication of (key) performance indicators ((K)PIs). For example, a third generation partnership project (3 GPP) long term evolution (LTE) operation and maintenance (O&M) system may benefit from predictive (key) performance indicator reporting between a base station, such as an evolved Node B (eNB), and the O&M system. A method may comprise generating at least one of a predicted (key) performance indicator or a (key) performance indicator trend information at a first network element. The method may also comprise sending the at least one of predicted (key) performance indicator or (key) performance indicator trend information from the first network element to the second network element.
