METHOD OF DETECTING OXIDATION-REDUCTION STATE OF THIOL GROUP OF PROTEIN, AND REAGENT AND KIT USED FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of accurately detecting an oxidation-reduction state of a thiol group of protein regardless of the molecular mass of the protein.SOLUTION: A nucleic acid maleimide capable of being uniquely bonded to a thiol group of protein in a reduction state is mixed with the protein. The molecular mass of the protein after mixing is measured by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and the oxidation-reduction state of the thiol group is determined on the basis of the measured molecular mass. Furthermore, a cleavable connection group is arranged between the nucleic acid and the maleimide, the nucleic acid is separated after separation by the electrophoresis, thereby improving the protein transfer efficiency from gel to a film.
