In the present invention, a communication device is provided with a LAN communication unit, at least one IO port freely connectable to a manufacturing device, and a controller. The IO port is configured so as to exchange with the manufacturing device ON/OFF signals comprising a plurality of bits. The controller is configured so as to receive a communication request from a communication destination via a LAN, store a network address and IO port specification for the communication destination, change the ON/OFF signal of the specified IO port in accordance with the request from the communication destination, and transmit to the communication destination, via the communication unit and the LAN, the ON/OFF signal of the specified IO port in accordance with the request from the communication destination. |
