The present invention provides a method for playing content stored in a detachable storage device, the content play method comprising the steps of: detecting connection of the storage device; receiving a storage device certificate from the detected storage device; transmitting the received storage device certificate to a server; receiving an encrypted media file and a certificate revision list (CRL) from the server on the basis of the storage device certificate, wherein the CRL is used to certify the authorization of a play device, the storage device and/or the server; storing the encrypted media file in the storage device and updating the CRL; and playing the encrypted media file on the basis of the updated CRL.
