The folding roof (1) is adjustable from a closed position (3) into an open position and vice versa and comprises hood side carrier of a hood bar. The hood side carrier comprises cross-sectional profiles and a sealing body at the longitudinal sides. The hood bar carries a hood cover (12). The hood cover comprises a holding bag for a clamping rope, which is positioned along the hood side carrier in the closed position. A hood bag is assigned to the hood cover. The hood bag is arranged in the closed position between the hood side carrier and the hood cover. The surface of the hood cover is enlarged by the hood bag in the open position.
