An apparatus and a method for estimating remaining lifetime of a battery are disclosed. The apparatus for estimating remaining lifetime of a battery according to the present invention comprises a calculation section setting unit setting a state of health (SOH) calculation section for calculating an SOH of the battery in the entire section of state of charge (SOC) of the battery; and an SOH calculating unit calculating charged SOH or discharged SOH of the battery by adding up currents charged to or discharged from the battery during the set SOH calculation section.
