A mobile robot having a collision avoidance sensor according to the present invention, which consists of a driving unit including a motor for moving the robot, a sensor for detecting an obstacle positioned in the driving direction, a power supply unit to which a rechargeable battery and external power are applied, an input unit for receiving the implementation function of the robot from a user, a control unit connected to the driving unit, the sensor, the power supply unit, and the input unit to control the driving unit, the sensor, the power supply unit, and the input unit, and a display unit for displaying information input by the input unit, comprises: a case; a plurality of transmitting sensors arranged in the case; and a receiving sensor arranged between the transmitting sensors, wherein each of the transmitting sensor and the receiving sensor includes a horn-shaped housing having an opening formed therein, the opening of the housing of the transmitting sensor is formed to exhibit asymmetric vertical and horizontal directivity, and the opening of the housing of the receiving sensor is formed to exhibit asymmetric vertical directional directivity and symmetric horizontal directivity. |
