PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile information transmission method by which: even when abnormality occurs in a facsimile communication function, operation of substitutive facsimile transmission can be performed by using a current one-touch transmission destination setting button.SOLUTION: A facsimile information transmission method includes the steps of: transmitting, according to a result of periodical monitoring (step S1), when abnormality of a facsimile communication function is detected (step S2: Yes), the abnormality to an emergency contact destination as emergency report notification (step S3); changing, according to a request ON instruction from the emergency contact destination (step S5: Yes), a one-touch transmission destination setting button to a substitutive facsimile transmission button (step S8); transmitting, when detecting recovery from the abnormality (step S2: Yes), the recovery from the abnormality to the emergency contact destination as emergency report notification for recovery; and returning, according to a request OFF instruction from the emergency contact destination (step S5: No), the one-touch transmission destination setting button from the substitutive facsimile transmission button to a facsimile transmission button (step S12). |
