PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for tracking the maximum power point of a power supply.SOLUTION: A maximum power point tracking device includes; means for estimating a derivative of power supplied by a power supply with respect to change in voltage at a first voltage level supplied by the power supply; means for estimating current supplied by the power supply when the first voltage level is supplied by the power supply; means for determining a voltage step value from the estimated derivative of the power and estimated current; and means for controlling voltage of the power supply to change the power supply voltage to a second voltage level that equals to a level obtained by adding the determined voltage step value to the first voltage level.
