The present invention concerns a sound detector (1) comprising a housing (20) provided with a first opening (22) towards the outside for measuring static pressure and sound. The detector includes a microphone (13) linked to an amplifier stage delivering signals representative of the sound entering via the first opening (22). The housing also includes a pressure sensor (16) linked to an amplifier stage delivering signals representative of a static pressure and of sounds of a frequency lower than the frequencies captured by the microphone. In this way, the detector can measure both static pressure and sound. For sealing purposes, the microphone (13) detects sound entering through the first opening (22) via a sealed polyimide membrane (12). The detector is used, for example, in the medical field for application to patients suffering from conditions such as sleep apnoea.
