The present invention provides an information transfer system, a mobile communication terminal, and an information transfer method capable of efficiently transferring information and reducing a delay in information transfer when information is transferred between communication terminals located in a prescribed area by using a plurality of mobile communication terminals. The information transfer system is provided with a management terminal (60) and a plurality of mobile communication terminals (50-1 to 50-n). The management term inal (60) includes an area-dividing unit (61) for allocating a mobile communic ation terminal for each of a plurality of subareas into which a prescribed area is divided. The mobile communication terminals (50-1 to 50-n) include: an intra-subarea information transfer unit (51) for exchanging information with a communication t erminal disposed in the subarea; an inter-subarea information transfer unit (52) for moving the terminal under consideration from the subarea to a presc ribed gathering site in the area and, after information is exchanged with all the other mobile communication terminals at the gathering site, moving the term inal under consideration to the subarea; and a switching unit (53) for s witching and operating the intra-subarea information transfer unit (51) and the inter-subarea information transfer unit (52).
