PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-cylinder engine with a turbo supercharger, capable of demonstrating sufficient supercharging capability only by the use of energy of exhaust gas even in the conditions that the flow amount of the exhaust gas is smaller.SOLUTION: At least on the downstream parts of independent exhaust passages 31, 32, 33 extending from respective cylinders 2A-2D, a variable flow path 39 which is cut off or opened by an exhaust throttle valve 40 and a regular flow path 38 which is divided from the variable flow path 39 by a partition wall 37, are formed. The regular flow path 38 is located at a side closer to a center axis 22a of a turbine wheel 22 than the variable flow path 39. The arrangement position of the turbine wheel 22 in a turbine housing 21 is set so that the outer periphery of the turbine wheel 22 is protruded within a range where the regular flow path 38 extends to the downstream side. The exhaust throttle valve 40 is controlled to be closed in a predetermined operation region set to the loser speed side than an intercept revolving speed. |
