PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust density of line drawing to a proper value.SOLUTION: A CPU of a printer calls calibration image data for character line drawing, and causes an engine to output a calibration image for the character line drawing. The calibration image for the character line drawing is scanned by a scanner. An average value of scan data is read for each image of each gradation, and is converted to density by using a density conversion table. By using the density of each gradation, a gamma conversion table for the character line drawing is corrected (a parameter for the character line drawing is adjusted).
