<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite operating device that consists of a small number of components and implements a simple structure for holding an operating member in a neutral position.SOLUTION: The composite operating device includes the operating member (50) operable to be rotated and be slid, a slider (30) and a base (10). Either of the base (10) and the slider (30) includes a flexible part (15) capable of resilient flexural deformation relative to the other, and the flexible part has a first engaging portion (17). The other has a second engaging portion (35) held in a slider neutral position by engagement with the first engaging portion (17), and the second engaging portion (35) has such a shape as presses against the first engaging portion (17) with displacement in a sliding direction relative to the first engaging portion (17) to subject the flexible part to flexural deformation. The first engaging portion (17) and the second engaging portion (35) have such shapes as increase the amount of deformation of the flexible part (15) with increasing amount of operation of the operating member in the sliding direction.</p> |
