PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid writing material which exhibits preferable chromism of handwriting and excellent temporal stability after the color change.SOLUTION: The solid writing material comprises a reversible thermochromic microcapsule pigment and an excipient. The excipient is a fatty acid amide represented by the specified general formula (A), where Rand Reach independently represent a C12-C22 saturated or unsaturated aliphatic group.
