PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient production method of an industrially very important amide compound and a production apparatus of an amide compound suitably used for the method.SOLUTION: A method of producing an amide compound using a microbial bacterial cell containing nitrile hydratase and/or a bacterial cell treated product has a step of supplying a mixture of a nitrile compound and water to an aqueous medium with a microbial catalyst and/or a bacterial cell treated product added. A production apparatus of an amide compound comprises a reaction tank for producing an amide compound using a microbial bacterial cell containing nitrile hydratase and/or a bacterial cell treated product thereof and a mixture supply line for supplying a mixture of a nitrile compound and water.
