The method involves transmitting data of operating modes to a superordinate computer (28) for each of industrial trucks (26) of a fleet (24). The received data is evaluated in the superordinate computer for determining vehicle-specific usage data. The usage data is received by the corresponding trucks. The usage data is displayed at the trucks. The usage data, in which a ratio of transmitted operating modes of each truck to transmitted operating modes of the entire fleet and/or to a remaining operating time of the trucks is provided, for each truck is indicated.
