The present invention relates to a room lamp for a vehicle having easy manipulability installed in a room of a vehicle to increase the illumination of the room when turned on and capable of obtaining convenient manipulability and safety by arranging an enhanced switching module. The room lamp for a vehicle comprises a main body having a transparent plate; a lamp embedded in the main body and turned on so that the transparent plate can be irradiated with and transmitted by light; and the switching module for controlling the on and off state of the lamp by controlling current supply applied to the lamp. The switching module comprises a vibration detecting part for detecting vibration caused by touching the main body; a control part for detecting natural vibration waves containing the amplitude and cycle of the vibration detected by the vibration detecting part, and extracting switching commands according to the detected natural vibration waves from a memory; and a switching part for setting the on and off state of the lamp by controlling the current supply between the lamp and a battery according to the switching commands extracted in the control part. Thus, the present invention can control the on and off state of the lamp using the vibration caused when a passenger touches. |
