PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grille shutter device capable of securing high reliability by suppressing excessive operation of a shutter mechanism.SOLUTION: A grille shutter device includes a shutter mechanism capable of controlling the flow rate of air flowing into an engine room by opening and closing the grille opening in the front of a vehicle body and an ECU controlling the operation of the shutter mechanism. The ECU measures the total number N of operations of the shutter mechanism and the period number n of operations, and, when the measured total number N of operations exceeds the accumulation upper limit N0 or when the period number n of operations exceeds the period upper limit value n0, restricts the operation of the shutter mechanism. |
