PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element which emits light in a near-infrared region and has high efficiency and a long service life, and to provide a light-emitting device, an authentication device, and an electronic device provided with the light-emitting element.SOLUTION: A light-emitting element has an anode 3; a cathode 9; a light-emitting layer 6 provided between the anode 3 and the cathode 9; and an electron transport layer 7 provided between the cathode 9 and the light-emitting layer 6 so as to be in contact with the light-emitting layer 6. The light-emitting layer 6 is configured to contain a thiadiazole compound having a principal skeleton represented by the following formula (1) in the molecular as a light-emitting material, and the electron transport layer 7 is configured to contain an azaindolizine compound having an azaindolizine skeleton and an anthracene skeleton in the molecule, as an electron transport material. |
