<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler that can reduce time and effort of fitting a protector, and can surely fit the protector.SOLUTION: A muffler body 2 comprises: a cylinder body 21 housing a sound muffling mechanism; and end plates 22, 23 that close both side openings of the cylinder body 21 and are provided with a circulation pipe 31 or a tail pipe 32. In the muffler body, the opening edge of the cylinder 21 and the outer peripheral edges of the end plate 22, 23 are coupled by tight winding, and flange parts 15, 16 formed in end edges 13, 14 of a protector 1 are held to be in a coupling state between a tightly winding part 24 and the outer periphery of the cylinder body 21.</p> |
