The housing element (7) has housing shell that is made of thermoplastic material, and whose interior space contains number of light sources of signal lamp assembly (2) and number of light-guiding units. The housing shell is produced by injection molding process, and transparent window portion (72) is formed in housing shell. The number of light-guiding units is combined into single piece within the housing shell during injection molding process. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing housing element for lighting unit of motor vehicle.
