PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a network terminal, and to enable a communication counterpart device to quickly detect such abnormality as the battery dying or failure of the terminal and securely set a set value to be stored by the terminal.SOLUTION: A sensor network terminal 5 outputs the latest sensor value from a sensor part 1, and compares the latest sensor value with the stored previous sensor value. When the latest sensor value is different from the previous sensor value, the sensor network terminal 5 notifies a management device 9 of the latest sensor value, and when the latest sensor value is coincident with the previous sensor value in the first comparison, notifies the management device 9 that the latest sensor value is coincident with the previous sensor value, and when the latest sensor value is successively coincident with the previous sensor value, does not notify the management device 9 of the result. Furthermore, the sensor network terminal 5 notifies the management device 9 of existence information in a transmission cycle 31 stored in a terminal storage part 3. A set value including the transmission cycle 31 can be securely set from the management device 9. |
