PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device which offers superior manipulation feeling with a soft sense of touch in depression manipulation accompanied with a sense of clicking.SOLUTION: An input device 1 includes; encoder disks 77a, 78a and encoders 77b, 78b which constitute a detection unit for detecting depression manipulation made on a touch panel 2, or a manipulation unit, and outputting detection information; a depression mechanism unit 3 which is configured to enable downward depression manipulation on the manipulation unit from a reference position and includes a reaction force generator unit 50 for providing reaction force in a direction opposite the direction of depression manipulation for a sense of clicking; a drive mechanism unit 7 for driving the manipulation unit; and a control unit 80 which controls the drive mechanism unit 7 to generate force in the direction of depression manipulation and in the opposite direction thereof in a range that provides a sense of clicking based on the detection information obtained from the detection unit. |
