PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which corrects a part in which brightness of an image becomes discontinuous due to light emission of a flash and can intentionally keep an image in a state where the flash emits light.SOLUTION: A flash detection section 2 detects whether a line whose luminance becomes high by light emission of a flash is included in a screen. When the flash detection section 2 detects that a line whose luminance becomes high is included, a correction processing section 82 replaces the line whose luminance becomes high with a line of a past screen held in a buffer memory 4 and corrects image data. An effect processing section 83 sets at least one screen in screens corrected by the correction processing section 82 as a screen being an effect applying object and applies effect of pseudo flash light emission to the image data constituting the screen of the effect applying object. A recording reproducing section 11 records the image data to which the effect of the pseudo flash light emission is applied by the effect processing section 83. |
