<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high sensitive sensor.SOLUTION: The sensor has: a first signal source that outputs a first electromagnetic wave of frequency f1: a second signal source that outputs a second electromagnetic wave of frequency f2; a nonlinear optical crystal that allows the first electromagnetic wave output from the first signal source and the second electromagnetic wave output from the second signal source to enter; and a detector. The nonlinear optical crystal includes: a difference frequency emitting part that emits an electromagnetic wave of difference frequency f3 of the frequencies f1 and f2; a difference frequency incident part that allows the electromagnetic wave of difference frequency f3 to enter; a detection wave emitting section that emits the electromagnetic wave of frequency f2 to the detector. The first electromagnetic wave and the second electromagnetic wave allowed entering so as to interfere with each other inside the nonlinear optical crystal. The first electromagnetic wave and the electromagnetic wave of difference frequency f3 entering from the difference frequency incident part interfere with each other inside the nonlinear optical crystal. The resultant electromagnetic wave of frequency f2 is emitted from the detection wave emitting section.</p> |
