<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for reduction of the amount of data transmitted depending on the communication state or the processing capacity of a receiver, without compromising the features of a multi-viewpoint image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus for transmitting the image data captured from a plurality of viewpoint positions over a network includes measuring means for measuring the communication state of the network, and control means for controlling the transmission frame decimation means of an image frame composing the image data at each viewpoint position, in order to transmit the image frames at at least two viewpoint positions within a predetermined time, when executing inter-frame decimation processing of an image frame composing the image data depending on the communication state measured by the measuring means.</p> |
