<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of continuously performing excellent image forming by suppressing the occurrence of various failures such as deterioration of toner due to a raised temperature in the apparatus and preventing the occurrence of abnormal images.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises an image carrier 61, a developing device 63, an air intake part 11 for taking outside air into the inside of the apparatus body, an exhaust part 18 for discharging air inside the apparatus body to the outside, an air intake route D for guiding air flow from the air intake part 11 to the inside of the apparatus body, and an exhaust route G for guiding air flow from the inside of the apparatus body to the exhaust part 18, differently from the air intake route D. It is constructed in such a manner that: the air intake route D and the exhaust route G are arranged facing each other with one part of the former and one part of the latter being arranged close to each other; and heat transfer means 40 is provided at the position where the two routes are close to each other for transferring heat from the air intake route D to the exhaust route G, thereby the temperature of the air flow passing the air intake route D is lowered by the heat transfer means 40.</p> |
