[Problem] To provide a ball end mill configured so that the wear resistance of portions of the tips of the ball edges, the portions being located near the center axis, is improved and so that the tool body does not vibrate during cutting. [Solution] A ball end mill (10) is provided with: a tool body (1) which rotates about the center axis (O); and ball edges (2) which have a circular arc-shape in a side view and which are provided so as to extend rearward from the center axis (O)-side part of the tip of the tool body (1). The curvature radius (r) of the ball edges (2) is gradually reduced from the center axis (O) side toward the outer periphery (Q) side. |
